BIO

Callandra’s love of singing began around the age of three and grew into a serious obsession after being introduced to the musical Les Miserables in the late 80’s. Throughout her youth she regularly sang at local festivals and fairs and during high school began performing professionally in various musical theatre productions.  

After high school, Callandra attended the prestigious Musical Theatre-Performance program at Sheridan College, in Oakville, Ontario where she was the recipient of various awards and scholarships. At the end of her second year at Sheridan, Callandra was cast in the final Toronto company of the hit mega-musical Mamma Mia! After some time in the ensemble, she played the lead role of Sophie and wowed Toronto audiences. Since then, she has found herself working everywhere from industrial shows in Toronto to sailing the high seas for six months with Disney Cruise Line performing.  Callandra has starred in many productions in her hometown, London, Ontario on stage at The Grand Theatre. Roles include Diana Barry (Anne of Green Gables), Martha Cratchit (A Christmas Carol), Schwartzy (25th Annual…Spelling Bee) and Gingy the cookie (Shrek the Musical).  Callandra also has become an audience favourite at the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia, having starred in many productions since 2012.  It was there that she was able to rekindle her love of performing country music and has since been known as ‘the yodeller’ to crowds.  

 

Callandra’s favourite role is mommy to her two amazing children, Kaden and Merridy. Along with her husband, Jeff, and their puppy, Betty, they live in London and all share a love for performance, music and creativity.  

 

Callandra’s debut album, 'I'm a Country Girl' was released late 2017, with plans for an official launch in early 2018. being released this summer.  Her first single ‘Never Gonna See You Again’ is available on iTunes and is produced by One Nightstand Records Ltd.
